I stand rigid, staring up at this huge tomcat. I feel my ears flatten against my head involuntarily. Are we in trouble? Did we do something wrong? What is he going to do with us?

I glace over at Windpaw and Owlpaw to see their reactions. Their faces appear shocked, probably mirroring my own. Owlpaw has a suspicious glint in his green eyes. “Aren’t you the RiverClan deputy?” he boldly inquires.

Poor Cinderpelt. One of the reasons why I love her character is because she was always in love with Fireheart but almost never let it show because she was a medicine cat, and because Fire was in love with Sandstorm, and because he only saw her as his former apprentice and friend-zoned her. That's being strong right there.
I know what this situation feels like right now too, and it SUCKS, lemme tell you.
